The art and care in creating Venetian masks is handed down from generation to generation. The main ones of the Venetian tradition are based on the commedia dell'arte with the characters of Harlequin, Pulcinella, Pantalone and Brighella. These masks are primarily worn in modern days during Carnevale in Europe, or during Mardi Gras here in the States.
