GNARLYWOOD ORCHARD

A little bit about Gnarlywood …

Gnarlywood Orchard is the name of our farmette along Route 1 in Hodgdon, Maine, where the apple trees are thick and the chickens and goats run free. We have been collecting interesting and strange items for a very long time, and now we are ready to present some of them to you. Our website will be continuously updated with more items, so please remember to check back periodically.

We also feature original artwork, so be sure to check our galleries out as well.

There’s a little bit of everything mixed into our inventory here at Gnarlywood, we hope you enjoy your time looking around. If you have any questions about anything, feel free to email or call us at the contact information listed at the bottom of the page.

The world is full of magical things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper.

Authentic vintage Carnevale di Venezia mask
$40.00

This is an authentic vintage Carnevale di Venezia mask - in fact, it is a completely handmade and all-Italian product made by Karta Ruga. This is a mask designed to fit the average female face.

The art and care in creating Venetian masks is handed down from generation to generation. The main ones of the Venetian tradition are based on the commedia dell'arte with the characters of Harlequin, Pulcinella, Pantalone and Brighella. These masks are primarily worn in modern days during Carnevale in Europe, or during Mardi Gras here in the States.
